We are hosting the first-ever Combat Ready Fire Conference
Over two days, we’ll cover the five core areas of the Combat Ready Fire approach: mindset, engine and truck company operations, first-alarm strategy and tactics, and aggressive command.
Each session builds on the last, showing how these skills work together on the fireground.
Built for firefighters, company officers, and chief officers
Who want to improve their craft and raise the standard in their department. Train with nearly the entire Combat Ready instructor team in a focused two-day progression, gain a clearer understanding of every fireground role, and leave with practical, proven ideas you can use on your very next shift.
What Makes This Conference Different
Most firefighters experience these topics one class at a time. Here, you get to see the whole picture.
From the mindset of the individual firefighter, to department culture, to getting lines on fire and hands on victims, to coordinating the first alarm, to commanding the incident—you’ll see how the decisions made at every level affect what happens next.
1
FIVE PROGRAMS. ONE WEEKEND.
Experience the foundation of Combat Ready Firefighting, Engine Company Operations, Truck Company Operations, First Alarm Strategy & Tactics, and Aggressive Command—all in two days.
2
UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE FIREGROUND
Go beyond your own position. Learn what the firefighter, company officer, incident commander, engine, and truck need from one another—and how those decisions affect the entire operation.
3
TRAIN WITH THE CRFT TEAM
Nearly our entire instructor team will be in Dallastown teaching the programs they specialize in—giving you different perspectives, experiences, and lessons from across the fire service.

- How do I register?
-
Is the Combat Ready Fire Conference for me?
If you're a firefighter, company officer, or chief officer committed to improving yourself, your department, and inspiring positive change, this conference was built for you.
-
What makes this conference different?
Instead of a collection of unrelated presentations, we've intentionally designed these two days as one comprehensive integrated learning experience. Each session builds on the one before it, helping you connect the principles of Combat Ready Firefighting, Engine Company Operations, Truck Company Operations, First Alarm Strategy & Tactics, and Aggressive Command into one complete system for the fireground. It's also the first time we've ever brought together all of these core programs and nearly our entire Combat Ready instructor team for one event, giving attendees a unique opportunity to learn from the instructors behind nearly every major Combat Ready program in one place.
-
I've never taken a Combat Ready class. Is this a good place to start?
Absolutely. It’s one of the main reasons we created this conference. For many firefighters, bringing Combat Ready to their department isn't always possible. This conference was designed to provide access to the foundation of our core programs, introduce you to our instructor team, and help you experience the principles that have become the backbone of everything we teach.
-
I've already taken Combat Ready classes. Will I still benefit?
Even if you've attended one or more of our classes, this conference is the first opportunity to see how our major programs intentionally connect and support one another. You'll reinforce key principles, gain new perspectives from multiple instructors, and leave with practical ideas you can immediately apply within your own department. For company and training officers, it's also an excellent opportunity to evaluate our training system firsthand and determine which full-length Combat Ready programs would have the greatest impact on your department.
-
Can I attend just one day?
No. Registration is available for the full two-day conference only. We've intentionally designed these two days as a progression, with each session building on the one before it. Attending both days provides the complete experience and the best understanding of how these principles work together on the fireground.
-
Is this a hands-on class?
No. This is a classroom-based conference, so turnout gear and SCBA are not required. Our focus is on the mindset, decision-making, strategies, tactics, and leadership principles that support successful fireground performance. While there are no hands-on evolutions, every class is built around real-world fireground experience and practical lessons you can take back to your department immediately.
-
Will I receive a certificate?
Certificates documenting participation and continuing education hours are available upon request.
-
Will food be available?
Coffee, water, and light snacks will be available throughout both days. Lunch will be available for purchase onsite each day, giving attendees an opportunity to network with instructors, vendors, and firefighters from departments throughout the region.
-
Will there be vendors?
Yes. Our vendor area will feature companies and organizations that support the fire service, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with industry partners and explore products that support training and fireground operations.
-
Why should I travel to this conference instead of waiting for Combat Ready to come to my department?
Because this is an experience we simply can't recreate during a single department-hosted class with a limited number of instructors. Over two days, you'll experience the foundation of our major Combat Ready programs in one intentionally designed progression, learn from nearly our entire instructor team, and train alongside firefighters from departments across the region. Whether you've trained with us before or this is your first experience with Combat Ready, this conference offers a unique opportunity to see how all of these concepts connect, and to leave with ideas, relationships, and motivation that extend far beyond the classroom.
